Kinspire UW
OUR STORY
Kinspire UW is an RSO (Registered Student Organization) at the University of Washington, founded in 2014. As a chapter of Kinspire, Kinspire UW focuses on raising awareness and expanding participation in its philanthropic efforts within the University of Washington student body. In addition to raising awareness and funds, Kinspire UW is committed to ensuring that student support is direct and meaningful. Funds raised by our chapter are donated directly to Kinspire Scholars, helping cover essential educational expenses such as tuition, school supplies, and academic resources. By contributing directly to scholars, we ensure that our efforts have a tangible and immediate impact on students’ educational journeys.

Past Events
Ideathon
The Kinspire Ideathon is a pitch competition inviting high school and college students from the Washington area to a day full of innovative problem solving on UW's campus. Teams of 3-5 students will compete to see who can come up with the best ways to address the most pressing problems for the world today.
Mr. and Mrs. Desi
A fun and welcoming event that brings all Desi RSOs together for an exciting night of games, challenges, and friendly competition. Each group gets the chance to show their spirit, teamwork, and creativity through different activities, from simple games to cultural showcases. The atmosphere is lively, full of music, laughs, and community pride. At the end of the night, one RSO is crowned the winner, earning the title for their energy and effort. It’s a great way for students to connect, celebrate Desi culture, and enjoy a memorable time together.
Chipotle Fundraiser
A simple and meaningful fundraiser where supporters can enjoy their favorite Chipotle meal while helping kids in need. When students, friends, and community members order during the event, a portion of the sales goes directly to an organization that provides underprivileged children with access to education and learning resources. It’s an easy way to make a real impact—just grab a burrito, support the cause, and help give every child a chance to learn and succeed.
Call Pals
Call PALS is a one-on-one mentorship program that connects Kinspire UW members with Indian youth to support the development of conversational English skills. Through regular, personalized conversations, mentors help students build confidence in speaking, listening, and expressing themselves in everyday situations. The program is designed to go beyond language practice. By forming consistent mentor–mentee relationships, Call PALS creates a supportive space where students feel encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Call PALS partners directly with the school where Kinspire awards its scholarships, allowing us to support students.
